Sorry, the site is going through a couple of big changes. There will probably be a bunch of glitchy photos and updating posts!

I'll be posting pictures of  this next year's new breeders and will be updating the for sale page. I would also appreciate it if members who have bought from me in the past, would post a testimonial on the testimonal page.

The Faverolles are going through a big change as well, and I will be posting pictures of the new roosters, pullets, an...

Look how big the babies have gotten! My goodness they grow fast. (:

I'm really happy with the goslings I got from Allison Grell, they are huge and very nice birds. These geese shoul start laying next Spring in small amounts. They will be replacing my first flock. The oldest pair I own will be staying though. Next year I should have 12 geese and 3 ganders. I will be primarily selling eggs next year an...

I didn't hatch many, but it's still so good to have goslings again. I always miss having them, every year. c:
I'm filling early reservations, and won't have enough goslings for new orders. Sorry everyone! I'm ordering buff and grey goslings from Allison Grell, and I should have a bigger breeding program next year AND Buffs. I'm trying to buy a Sportsm...

Goslings Are Here!!

Posted by Sierra Jorgensen on May 2, 2011 at 1:01 PM Comments comments (0)

I have 10 eggs, and 8 have pipped so far! The other two are rocking violently and look like they will hatch too. I have 7 mallard ducklings hatched, out of 10, and Faverolles are pipping in the other incubator! I'm so happy and excited for the babies. Most of the goslings are already spoken for, 9 of them, so it looks like I'll be raising one on my own. I'm going to keep Cossette's baby (My Buff Toulouse) i...

Hi again! Sorry for the slow updates, it's been very busy here!

The geese started laying about 2 weeks ago, and I'm setting the first batch of eggs today. I'm so excited! So far, two geese are laying at the farm (the grey quartet) and one buff at my house started laying yesterday. I've cleaned out my garage in preperation for tubs of chicks and goslings and in the last couple of weeks, we built another shed and plan to branch out a breeding/ grow up pen from it. Small sheds for th...

Thats a video my mom took of the school farm this week. You cant see it well, but the entire pen was flooded to my knees! And inside the coop there was 2' of water. Poor babies, I had to take them all to my house, which was MUCH drier. The chickens were wet and unhappy in all the rain and snow, but ...

Hey everyone! this is my new site and I'm really excited to be starting my third year of breeding my birds. I have a lot planned for 2011 and I'm bustling to get ready for the breeding season. All but a couple of the hens have stopped laying and finally some of the geese are grouping into trios. I'm going to build some grow-up pens this winter and another pond for the backyard. If anyone ha...
